About Us
Preferred Service was started in 1997 by Jimmie as a Commercial Contractor and Journeyman. Currently we serve over 350 Commercial customers and are growing everyday! Be assured that we will get the job done as you expect. Our combined knowledge gives us more than 60 years of experience! Heating, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, Maintenance and repair is our expertise. We are dedicated to keeping your business running smoothly and comfortably.

Rebecca
Rebecca’s career began with financial institutions and lasted for 20 years. She started “full time” handling all the financial responsibilities of Preferred Service in 2003. Prior to 2003 she was able to handle Preferred Services work load in “her spare time”! She has a Business Management Associates degree and Minor in Marketing. She continues to add to her volunteer work for local soccer clubs and Parent clubs for local schools. She is an owner and board member for Preferred Service and Mechanical INC. When you call Preferred Service more than likely you will be speaking with Rebecca. She will schedule all your service requests and be your connection to our qualified technicians. Jimmie
Jimmie started on his career in 1981 on a nuclear powered Naval Cruiser (CGN 25). His duties were heating, air conditioning, auxiliary controls, pumps, motors, and food service equipment. His career has span over 25 years in HVAC-R. His experience is extensive because of the wide range of diversity he has had. He has worked heavy Industrial Heating and Air Conditioning when contracted with gold mines in northern Nevada and then later in Reno, Nevada. He worked in the smaller sector on residential installation for 10 years. The commercial environment is where he has been most challenged due to the wide range of equipment, and giving him a vast knowledge. He started Preferred Service and Mechanical INC. in 1997 as an idea/goal, to become his own boss and build a company of integrity and quality. He is an owner and board member for Preferred Service and Mechanical INC. He has been a full journeyman licensed in HVAC-R since 1987. In 1995 he became certified for specialty electrician’s license. He is certified as well with EPA standard class 1, 2, 3, 4, universal and Mac (mobile air conditioning certified). Idaho Falls has been great for business due to the progressive growth of the communities surrounding the Idaho Falls area. Currently our service area ranges all the way from StAnthony, Ashton, Island Park, Swan Valley, Rexburg, Idaho Falls, Pocatello, American Falls, and all of South East Idaho.

Bonnie is here in our office from 8 to 5 for our "Preferred Customers". Her career started over 15 years ago with the larger well known companies in California; Siemens, Control Air, Emcor/Mesa Energy and Aire Rite Refrigeration & AC. She started out in HVAC and recently added the Refrigeration side to her list of expertise. She is a positive presence and always finds something new to learn. Always taking the extra step to get the job done and enjoys helping others, these are the things she prides herself in. She will be happy to assist you with any questions or problems that you might have. Just give our enthusiastic staff a call.
On a personal note Bonnie is originally from California. It got to crowded and crazy, so she packed up and moved to Idaho for a new start. She has family in Idaho, a sister and lovely niece, that she enjoys spending her off time with. Call Bonnie at the office

 Eric
Eric is from Washington State originally , and moved to Idaho in 1990. He has always had an interest in anything mechanical. Luckily, he soon discovered he had a real talent for it! He formalized his talent by attending and graduating from the Universal Technical Institute of Arizona, receiving his certification in Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration, and Solar Energy Technology. This course gave him hours of diagnostic hands on training for residential and commercial equipment. His career began as a HVAC-R Journeyman in 1989. He carries a Universal Freon certification. Eric began work for Preferred Service in 2002. He has been a valuable asset to the Preferred Service team!

 John
John is from Idaho Falls, born and raised. After graduation he enlisted in the National Guard. He attended E.I.T.C. Diesel Technical program. John had managed Jiffy Lube store for more than seven years. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, either hunting, fishing, camping or mountain biking. Currently John is in the Apprenticeship HVAC program at E.I.T.C
